Beta Alpha Rho
Established 1946

Beta Alpha Rho has long been Greyson's 'power' sorority, its members dedicated primarily to their own ambitions and their personal social and economic advancement. In less enlightened decades, the sorority formed connections with prestigious fraternities at Greyson and elsewhere, and the sisters sought out eligible young bachelors with excellent prospects. In more recent eras, Beta Alpha Rho has turned to placing its alumni directly in positions of power. The group has turned into an 'old girls' club' of sorts, with each Beta Alpha Rho class going on into well-paid and influential positions in politics, entertainment, high finance and any number of other fields, where they are then expected to use some part of their influence to help successive generations excel in their chosen fields. It's not as though many of the sisters need the help; the sorority recruits the best and the brightest, and has formed solid relationships with a number of companies, organizations and important persons who are only too happy to offer internships, apprenticeships and post-graduate positions. More than that, the sisters just seem to have the magic touch, some intangible ability to succeed at whatever they try. Countless doors just seem to swing open the moment any given young woman joins the sorority, and no one is entirely sure why.

Though Beta Alpha Rho generally prefers to define itself on its own terms, it has in the past shared a loose affiliation with Alpha Chi Xi and even Gamma Lambda Mu, both fraternities with similarly broad ambitions and bright prospects.
