Gamma Lambda Phi
Established 1993

As the new kid on the block, relatively speaking, Gamma Lambda Phi is one of the most unique and atypical sororities at Greyson University. The group is officially an outgrowth of the Gamma Lambda Mu fraternity, but in the decade and change since its inception, it has swiftly come into its own. The Phis stay well away from Greek politics, even to the point of following their brothers' lead and placing their pledging season somewhat later than the main phase of university pledging each year.

Gamma Lambda Phi is widely known as Greyson's 'nerd sorority,' and to some degree, that's not inaccurate. The sorority cares more about academic and technical achievement than a given pledge's appearance or social skills. The students they recruit are usually former state science fair champions, notorious hackers, and outright prodigies. This is not to say that the Lambda Phis lack social skills; in fact, the majority of them are perfectly sociable and fairly typical college students when they're not talking about science and technology. The sorority sisters simply choose to select pledges who exemplify the curiosity, intelligence and thirst for knowledge that are the pillars of their sisterhood, and in that respect, they're much more open and accepting than many of the other sororities at Greyson.

For all the name-calling and stereotyping directed at Gamma Lambda Phi, the sorority is popular enough on most weekends. Lovelace House, the sorority's headquarters, is frequently the site of fantastic parties that are very well-attended indeed. No matter what anyone else has to say about it, the sisters of Gamma Lambda Phi throw the best parties, get the best grades, and have many of the brightest futures ahead of them.
