Alpha Chi Alpha
Established 1948

Alpha Chi Alpha is an evangelical Christian fellowship closely associated with the Campus Crusade for Christ and Greyson Athletes for God. Generally speaking, the brothers are very socially conservative. They accept members of all races and nationalities, but God help you if you don't live up to their stern moral standards. A few of the brothers hold substantially more liberal attitudes, and constantly strive to effect change within the fraternity, but they haven't had much success as of yet.

That much is common knowledge.

This much is not: a number of the brothers of Alpha Chi Alpha, including virtually everyone in a position of leadership, claim to be exorcists of some talent. Only a very few actually do have experience with exorcism rituals - the rest are more or less engaging in flamboyant revivalist self-promotion. Fortunately, all have been trained to recognize the basic signs of authentic demonic possession, and most are able to swallow their pride long enough to fetch someone who can actually help in such cases.

Because of the fraternity's strong religious affliliation, most of its public events are spiritual in nature: they host prayer circles, Bible study, and various political action meetings, usually in response to such 'radically immoral' issues as the legalization of same-sex marriage in the state of Massachusetts. Though the Chi Alphas largely hold themselves above the 'carnal nature' of Greek politics, they are affiliated with the similarly conservative Delta Epsilon Nu sorority, and the ACA/DEN couple has long since become one of the university's most widely recognized stereotypes.
